About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build strong working relationships with producers through regular on-farm visits, ongoing guidance, and hands-on support throughout the flock cycle
  • Support new flock placements and transitions
  • Collect and review production data, including feed and water consumption, bird and case weights, and environmental readings
  • Maintain accurate production reports and communicate trends or concerns requiring attention
  • Coordinate feed ordering for assigned farms and monitor consumption
  • Work with the Feed team to address feed quality, usage, or performance concerns
  • Oversee biosecurity, organic, pasture-raised, and animal welfare requirements
  • Support on-farm audits and address non-compliance with producers
  • Help onboard new producers, including barn and certification readiness
  • Provide on-site support during new flock placements, repopulations, and depopulations
  • Review production, feed, pasture, and compliance matters with department leads and coordinate follow-up

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working with poultry (preferably layers) or on farms
  • Experience with Excel, Dropbox, Gmail, and Google Calendar
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work with little supervision
  • Quick problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Team player with a positive attitude and collaborative approach to work
  • High degree of initiative
  • Knowledge of animal welfare standards and biosecurity
  • Knowledge of state/federal agriculture, farming regulations, and standards
