About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive sales results by creating strategic account plans, identifying key opportunities and stakeholders, and driving product utilization
- Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital and transplant staff, and others in the patient-care continuum
- Navigate complex hospital, academic-center, and transplant environments to access key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Handle customer questions consistently with product indication and sales-training methodology, compliantly triaging inquiries when appropriate
- Address customer needs, identify market dynamics and trends, and develop local tactics supporting brand and corporate objectives
- Investigate account-target decisions affecting product access and develop plans for hospital formulary placement and EMR inclusion
- Develop and maintain disease-state and clinical/scientific knowledge
- Collaborate with Market Access, Medical, Operations, Marketing, and Trade partners on territory and national-market strategies
- Maximize territory budget to execute strategies and grow territory business
- Plan and execute local/regional exhibits, promotional speaker programs, and other compliant activities
- Represent Hansa at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Establish the initial sales foundation for a new kidney-transplant product launch and achieve launch revenue targets
- Report to the Regional Business Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, biological sciences, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience
- Minimum of 7 years of key account sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- At least 5 years of relevant therapeutic experience in nephrology, transplant, rare disease, or institutional sales
- Extensive inpatient/institutional new product launch experience
- Direct experience working with designated accounts, stakeholders, key opinion leaders, and executive-level customers of high influence
- Prior experience calling on transplant teams, hospitals, and academic centers/institutions
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR record
- Must meet credentialing requirements for access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and organizations in the assigned geography, potentially including background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization and/or vaccinations
- 80+% expected time in the field with ≤ 50% overnight travel
- CV must be submitted in English
