About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive U.S. sales strategy and achieve launch revenue targets for a new kidney transplant product
- Create strategic account plans, identify key opportunities and stakeholders, and drive product utilization in appropriate patients
- Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital and transplant staff, and others in the patient care continuum
- Navigate complex hospital, academic center, and transplant environments
- Handle customer questions consistent with product indication and sales training methodology
- Compliantly triage customer inquiries to appropriate internal partners
- Address customer needs and identify market dynamics and trends
- Develop local tactics supporting brand and corporate objectives
- Investigate account target decisions affecting product access
- Develop plans to support patient access to care, including hospital formulary placement and EMR inclusion
- Maintain in-depth disease-state and clinical/scientific knowledge
- Collaborate with Market Access, Medical, Operations, Marketing, and Trade teams
- Maximize the territory budget and grow territory business
- Plan and execute local/regional exhibits, promotional speaker programs, and other activities
- Represent Hansa Biopharma at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Report to the Regional Business Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, biological sciences, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience
- Minimum of 7 years of key account sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- At least 5 years of relevant therapeutic experience in nephrology, transplant, rare disease, or institutional sales
- Extensive inpatient/institutional new product launch experience
- Direct experience working with designated accounts, stakeholders, key opinion leaders, and executive-level customers of high influence
- Prior experience calling on transplant teams, hospitals, and academic centers/institutions
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR record
- Must meet all credentialing requirements for access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and organizations in the assigned geography
- Credentialing requirements may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization and/or vaccinations
- Expected to spend 80+% of time in the field
- No more than 50% overnight travel
- Ability to attach a CV in English only
