About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- Improve product quality performance and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with the QRO Pathway Matrix, Quality Management System, BMS, QMS, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ESD S20.20, and customer-specific requirements
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for customer 0KM concerns in mass production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the Quality Management System
- Manage containment actions for customer complaints, quality notifications, customer sorting activities, and Quality Alerts
- Coordinate additional quality controls with Engineering and Operations during SOP + 90 days through the Safe Launch Plan
- Execute IPSO Audits for transfer of new products into production
- Manage the RMA process and review customer deductions related to 0KM quality concerns
- Support Quality Inspectors and Technicians with quality system compliance
- Prepare and communicate Quality Assurance reports
- Develop Control Plans and ensure ownership transfer for ongoing maintenance
- Coordinate PPAP submissions and customer approval processes
- Ensure product audits are completed and effective
- Support customer approval processes for layout changes, PCRs, Forever Requirements, and related quality activities
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Senior Customer Quality Engineer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Advanced English proficiency (90% or higher)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Initiative and self-motivation
- Analytical thinking
- Problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (IATF 16949 and ISO 9001)
- Experience with customer-specific quality requirements
- Automotive customer portal experience
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAP, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC, 8D Problem Solving, 5 Why Analysis, and VDA Standards
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to work in an office environment
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screening as a condition of employment
