About the role

  • Prepare test setups and configure measurement equipment
  • Perform tests in accordance with automotive standards
  • Document and interpret test results
  • Contribute to design and test-method optimization to ensure EMC compliance
  • Support continuous improvement efforts
  • Analyze normative requirements and OEM-specific standards
  • Derive test cases from system, hardware, or software requirements
  • Define EMC concepts and support schematic and PCB design
  • Utilize EMC simulation tools to assess system performance and optimize designs
  • Create test strategies, test plans, and verification concepts
  • Set up and configure test environments
  • Perform manual or automated tests
  • Operate test benches and laboratory equipment
  • Conduct measurements and functional verification
  • Evaluate measurement results and identify malfunctions, deviations, or risks
  • Support root-cause analysis
  • Support design verification measurements, including electrical and temperature tests
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
  • Create test reports, test logs, and deviation reports
  • Manage test data and ensure traceability
  • Present test results in development meetings
  • Improve test processes and methodologies
  • Participate in FMEAs, reviews, and release discussions
  • Collaborate with development and quality teams throughout design and validation
  • Report to the Team Leader HW Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification
  • Hands-on experience with component, system, or software testing
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EMC testing, validation processes, and measurement technologies
  • Experience with schematic/layout design tools, simulation environments, and standard Microsoft applications
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • High level of creativity combined with solid analytical problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly and defend engineering decisions
  • Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional engineering teams
  • Familiarity with simulation tools like HFSS
  • At least 3 years professional experience in the HW development and verification of analog/digital applications and standalone functional units
  • Knowledge of requirements inside the automotive area, especially for EMC
  • Knowledge of commonly used interfaces in telematic systems (PCIe, UART, Ethernet, I2C, I2S, SPI, USB …) appreciated
  • Experience with NAD network simulator
  • Availability to work flexibly and on-demand both from the office and remotely
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of time depending on project needs
