About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Vice President, People and the Talent Acquisition team, primarily for HarperCollins Christian Publishing
  • Coordinate People team processes, recruitment, and onboarding
  • Build relationships with employees, candidates, hiring managers, People partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Provide administrative and project coordination support across the employee lifecycle
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, coordinate meetings and timelines, and track follow-up actions
  • Coordinate performance management, talent planning, employee engagement, organization changes, and other People team initiatives
  • Support employee relations and performance management processes
  • Respond to routine employee and manager questions and escalate sensitive or complex matters
  • Create and post open roles on career pages, LinkedIn, and relevant job boards
  • Coordinate high-volume interview schedules and onsite logistics
  • Serve as primary candidate contact and provide recruitment updates and feedback
  • Ensure recruitment compliance with company policies and employment laws
  • Prepare and track offer letters and new-hire documentation
  • Coordinate HCCP campus recruiting and internship programs, including event logistics, catering, technology setup, materials, onboarding, and communications
  • Manage the team’s shared inbox with the New York-based coordinator
  • Track recruitment processes and manage referrals
  • Oversee onboarding for full-time employees and interns, including background checks, documentation, equipment, system access, workspace setup, security access, and orientation
  • Support new hires and managers during onboarding
  • Help new employees navigate company systems, policies, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least two years of experience supporting human resources processes, recruitment coordination, onboarding, or a related function
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably iCIMS
  • Strong administrative and project coordination skills
  • Ability to manage detailed workflows accurately and consistently
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Judgment to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and support effective implementation
  • Cover letters strongly preferred
