About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in ideating, designing, and creating social media content for book promotions, author events, retail partners, and other initiatives across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Update weekly blogs and craft bi-monthly newsletters for a major publishing brand
- Write and edit book hooks, ad copy, scripts, and other compelling content
- Assist with office mailings, including Goodreads giveaways, ARC mailings, and other promotional efforts
- Attend monthly research meetings to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights
- Analyze social media engagement and provide actionable insights for marketing and PR strategies
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Publicity to draft PR Updates for the title roster
- Help craft press kits for PR campaigns and book launches
- Research, build, and maintain media lists for book launches and authors
- Facilitate book review mailings to media outlets
- Work closely with marketing and PR teams to execute campaigns
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining organization, detail, and deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028
- Open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience
- Available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 7 to August 12, 2027
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays mandatory in-office days at the Nashville headquarters; Mondays and Thursdays remote workdays
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Resume and cover letter required; cover letter addressed to “Hiring Team”
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of social media and digital marketing
- Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
- Ability to collaborate as a team player
- Solid organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights
- Passion for books and storytelling
