About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support development of book campaigns by drafting and proofreading marketing plans, acquisition and sales materials, book positioning, promotional copy, email campaigns, and other audience-facing materials
  • Conduct competitive-title, audience, platform, and trend research
  • Develop social media strategies and content ideas
  • Track key assets, deadlines, opportunities, and launch milestones across multiple titles
  • Research mainstream and faith media opportunities for authors
  • Build targeted media lists
  • Assist with press kits, press releases, author bios, talking points, and pitches
  • Support media outreach and author interviews by personalizing pitches and follow-ups
  • Coordinate interview schedules and logistics
  • Prepare briefing materials for media opportunities
  • Assist with Goodreads and Little Free Library giveaways and other promotional efforts
  • Set up giveaways, create mailing materials, and ship Advance Reader Copies and finished books
  • Participate in author and team meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 7 to August 12, 2027
  • Available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028
  • Open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry-level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Resume and cover letter required; cover letter addressed to “Hiring Team”
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop is a plus
  • Familiarity with PR tools and platforms such as Muck Rack or Podchaser is a bonus
  • Passion for books, storytelling, and the publishing industry is a plus
