About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end delivery of immigration and mobility matters across sponsorship, relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel
- Lead company-side strategy and delivery for complex U.S. immigration matters in partnership with outside counsel
- Assess options, risks, timing, and next steps for immigration matters
- Advise candidates, employees, managers, Recruiting, People Business Partners, and business leaders on mobility options and tradeoffs
- Engage Legal, Tax, Payroll, Total Rewards, and local experts when needed
- Manage relationships with immigration counsel, tax advisors, relocation providers, and other mobility partners
- Build and improve workflows, playbooks, communications, reporting, and self-service resources
- Maintain accurate work authorization and mobility data
- Support immigration, right-to-work, and audit-readiness requirements
- Apply sponsorship and mobility policies consistently, surfacing exceptions and escalations with recommendations
- Guide candidates and employees through complex situations with clarity, responsiveness, discretion, and empathy
- Report directly to the Global Mobility Lead and help strengthen mobility processes, infrastructure, and vendor relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–8 years of progressive global mobility experience, including meaningful experience in an in-house corporate mobility role
- Deep, practical knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration
- Ability to independently assess immigration options, pressure-test outside counsel’s recommendations, and translate legal advice into clear business guidance
- Experience advising employees, managers, and cross-functional partners on mobility matters
- Experience across relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel
- Working knowledge of tax, compensation, payroll, benefits, equity, and employment considerations surrounding cross-border moves
- Experience independently managing complex, time-sensitive matters and exercising sound judgment with incomplete information
- Experience managing outside counsel and mobility vendors
- Experience improving operations through documentation, automation, AI-enabled tools, or reporting
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Collaborative, hands-on approach and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience coordinating employment-based immigration matters outside the United States through local counsel (nice to have)
- Experience helping build or scale mobility programs in a high-growth, globally expanding company (nice to have)
