Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of hands-on backend software development focused on enterprise systems integration, API design, and clean separation of concerns
  • Solid production experience with C# and modern .NET frameworks, including current Microsoft releases such as .NET 8/10
  • Strong understanding of service boundaries, database design, asynchronous messaging patterns, and long-term maintainability
  • Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving ability
  • Comfort working across integration technologies spanning different framework generations
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker
  • Familiarity with containerized deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD, and AI-driven developer tools
  • Property & Casualty insurance or complex financial systems background is a plus
  • Remote candidates must reside in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, or Wisconsin
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Occasional travel to Hastings may be required
  • Must attend in-person orientation at the Hastings headquarters
