About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, optimize, and automate processes
- Leverage digital tools, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve productivity and ensure operational reliability, while complying with internal controls, security requirements, and data confidentiality standards
- Identify AI use cases applicable to accounts payable
- Take ownership of new tools and support teams in adopting them
- Adopt an end-to-end view of processes and measure the impact of changes across the supplier chain
- Translate business challenges into practical solutions and challenge existing practices
- Support the Head of Accounts Payable in overseeing operations
- Ensure compliance with deadlines, procedures, and internal control rules
- Monitor quality, compliance, and performance indicators
- Recommend and track the implementation of corrective actions
- Identify operational issues, anticipate risks, and contribute to activity prioritization
- Serve as a management liaison for the Head of Accounts Payable
- Support the team with daily organization and priority management
- Develop employees’ autonomy, accountability, and skills
- Act as a replacement for the Head of Accounts Payable in their absence
- Serve as the key point of contact for complex supplier and internal customer issues
- Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, Controlling, Finance, IT, and operational teams
- Participate in dispute resolution and service quality improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or equivalent (two years of higher education) in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Significant experience in accounts payable, ideally in a complex, high-volume environment
- Proven management experience
- Experience in process transformation, digitalization, or automation is a significant advantage
- Excellent knowledge of accounts payable processes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems, document digitization tools, and digital solutions
- Strong interest in and hands-on experience with artificial intelligence and automation tools
- Ability to quickly master new tools and understand their impact on end-to-end processes
- Ability to analyze issues, propose concrete and pragmatic solutions, and manage associated risks
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
- Leadership skills and ability to unite teams
