About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support account teams on various client projects
  • Build relationships with media and influencers to secure brand/client coverage
  • Secure 5–10 unique media placements per month in Tier 3 or higher outlets through phone and email pitching
  • Provide social media and competitive intelligence reports and contribute to creative ideation and new pitch concepts
  • Monitor trend and industry news for client coverage and assist with client-facing research updates
  • Support weekly coverage uploads and reporting in the agency dashboard
  • Research and build media and influencer lists
  • Research client speaking opportunities, industry awards, and competitor analysis
  • Participate in conference calls and brainstorms
  • Track media hits and influencer engagement metrics and update monthly and quarterly activity reports
  • Execute client program components
  • Support client event logistics and daily account-team tasks
  • Assist with press kits, media mailers, sample requests, and inventory tracking
  • Draft client-ready emails, press materials, creative pitches, event/launch strategy sections, and other communications
  • Participate in agency development programs and contribute positively to agency culture
  • Establish professional employee relationships
  • Monitor and record time in the agency system
  • Work Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, with in-office days Monday and Wednesday

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree; communications, liberal arts, business or marketing focus preferred
  • Strong writing (AP style), editing, listening and verbal communications skills
  • Resourceful and solutions focused
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing and organizing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually
  • Effectively manages time, follows up, and is results driven
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Use/development of media databases
  • Internship or limited relevant PR experience intended for the program
