About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver exceptional patient-centred care and high-quality diagnostic imaging across inpatient and outpatient pathways
  • Work collaboratively with Radiologists, Consultants and multidisciplinary teams
  • Apply advanced clinical expertise to support complex examinations
  • Optimise imaging quality
  • Contribute to development of imaging protocols and patient pathways
  • Act as a clinical expert within MRI services
  • Support service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide education and mentorship to colleagues
  • Contribute to smooth day-to-day operation of the service
  • Maintain high standards of safety, governance and patient experience
  • Perform a broad range of specialist MRI examinations
  • Undertake IV cannulation
  • Manage and prioritise workloads
  • Support implementation of new techniques and technological advancements
  • Work rotationally across London Bridge Hospital, Canary Wharf, The Shard Outpatients, 31 Broad Street and St Paul's upon opening

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HCPC registration
  • Degree in Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Extensive post-registration MRI experience within either an NHS or private healthcare setting
  • Experience working with Siemens MRI scanners (desirable)
  • Competency in IV cannulation
  • Strong understanding of MRI safety, governance and quality standards
  • Cardiac MRI experience is advantageous but not essential; full training can be provided
