About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct virtual psychiatric assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate medication management plans for clients.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjusting dosages and treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with licensed therapists and counselors to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding medication adherence, potential side effects, and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
- Exercise autonomy over clinical decisions regarding effective and clinically appropriate approaches for clients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates applying for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role must have an independent collaborative physician arrangement that allows them to practice autonomously.
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization in psychiatric-mental health.
- Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and national certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-certification clinical experience in psychiatric-mental health.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and technology for virtual patient consultations.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
