About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders
- Provide individual and group therapy to patients
- Prescribe and monitor medications when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of patient visits and progress
- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families about mental health and emotional disorders
- Participate in community outreach and education
- Work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 or 4 days per week in the office, depending on location
- Focus on improving patient outcomes within a clinician-led behavioral healthcare organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 12 months of experience post-licensure in a psychiatric clinical setting
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing
- Board certification via ANCC or AANP
- Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based on clinic location
- Active DEA registration in the prescribing state based on clinic location
- Knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiency, including managing patient data, documenting clinical information, and accessing patient histories
- Strong computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and troubleshooting common issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required
- PMHNPs must have 103 status for the specified $152,000 base salary
