About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the architecture behind how Headway helps providers capture, convert, and retain their own clients
  • Design the platform supporting lead management
  • Lead technical direction for porting and caseload tooling
  • Partner with product and data teams to determine priorities and measure impact
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, data, Sales, CX, and pricing teams
  • Build tools that help providers fill caseloads and run their practices
  • Contribute to AI agents, caseload migration tools, clinician marketing tools, and patient-to-provider routing
  • Drive progress toward one of Headway’s top company goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Built and scaled user-facing products in a marketplace, vertical SaaS, or health-tech environment
  • Shipped LLM-powered agents or workflows in production, including evals, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design
  • Experience with data-heavy onboarding: imports, migrations, CRM/lead systems, or third-party integrations
  • Comfortable running experiments and instrumenting product impact
  • Demonstrated ability to shape technical direction across teams without direct authority
  • Experience with AI-powered, user-facing products
  • Nice to have: healthcare or insurance domain experience
  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
