About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, contextualize, and deliver meaningful learning programs for the Health Care District
Collaborate with the Learning and Organizational Development Team and personnel across departments
Identify, implement, and apply learning theory to create effective, engaging, and interactive learning experiences
Consult with leaders from diverse disciplines to identify learning and development goals and evidence-based instructional strategies
Integrate innovative online and technology-enhanced training components across different delivery modes
Provide user training through workshops, webinars, and video tutorials on online learning, the Cornerstone LMS, course and training design, and instructional technology
Create outcomes-driven learning experiences using innovative instructional design methods, patterns, and frameworks
Partner with subject matter experts to curate existing components, design new content, and contextualize content
Create instructor onboarding materials for learner contexts and program content
Define key skills, competencies, learning objectives, and pathways with department leaders
Identify customer and learner needs and propose learning solutions
Work with vendors, contractors, and freelancers on content, assessment, and support material production
Design supplemental materials such as job aids, posters, and surveys

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in instructional design and technology, education, educational technology, or instructional technology, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with two (2) years of demonstrated experience in instructional design and/or curriculum design
Two (2) or more years of learning experience design, instructional design, or eLearning design and development
Ability to translate content into a visual, multimedia experience using graphics, motion graphics, audio, and visual design skills
Knowledge of modern learning modalities/channels, including ILT, VILT, MOOCs, simulations, case studies, experiential learning, microlearning, videos, social learning, coaching, mentoring, and infographics
Ability to use authoring tools such as Storyline, Rise, and Articulate
Strong project management skills, including managing third-party providers
Strong business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to design and develop emerging learning experiences including VR/AR, adaptive learning, game-based learning, and immersive scenario-based learning, preferred
ATD or CPLP certification or equivalent, a plus
Valid Florida driver's license required
