About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute Medicare Part D formulary strategy
- Ensure health plan formularies meet CMS regulatory requirements and HCSC goals
- Work across multiple aspects of formulary development and execution
- Develop reports and synthesize data into recommendations
- Develop presentations and present to external business leaders or large audiences
- Collaborate across the organization on problem resolution, negotiation, consensus building, conflict management, and decision-making
- Build strong customer relationships

Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered Pharmacist
- 4 years of managed care pharmacy experience or 4 years of consulting experience in the pharmacy benefits industry
- Completion of managed care residency can substitute for 4 years of managed care pharmacy experience
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefits products, services and concepts
- Analytical skills, including developing reports, synthesizing data, telling a story, and developing recommendations
- Written and verbal communication skills, including developing presentations and presenting to external business leaders or large audiences
- Collaboration skills for problem resolution, negotiation, consensus building, conflict management, and decision-making
- Relationship-building skills
- Project management skills and experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and clinical/business databases
- Pharm.D. preferred
- Managed care pharmacy residency preferred
- 2 or more years of Medicare Part D experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare Part D regulatory requirements preferred
- Knowledge of computer applications, including pharmacy claims systems, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft platform functionality preferred
- Understanding of formulary development and/or maintenance preferred
- Formulary development and strategy experience preferred
- Technical writing or policy development experience preferred
