About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct the development, maintenance, and ongoing oversight of clinical and operational programs and processes for enterprise pharmacy government programs of Medicare and Medicaid
- Oversee CMS Stars and Medicaid Quality Withhold programs
- Manage Medicare and Medicaid operational and reporting activities
- Develop programs for prescribers and networks of pharmacies
- Monitor pharmacy cost and utilization trends
- Develop clinical programs emphasizing disease management and clinical outcomes
- Develop and maintain reimbursement methodologies for pharmaceuticals
- Oversee contracted pharmaceutical benefit managers (PBMs)
- Ensure the overall effectiveness of government pharmacy operations and programs
- Collaborate with HCSC management, professional staff, and external healthcare providers to improve healthcare quality, optimize health outcomes, and improve cost of care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered Pharmacist in the state
- Corporate Pharmacist experience, including experience with pharmacy practice guidelines or practice parameters, formulary programs, pharmacoeconomics, or pharmacy quality improvement processes/techniques
- Knowledge of medication use evaluation principles
- Drug information skills
- Analytical skills
- Experience using window based word processing, spreadsheet and relational database software
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to remain at a work station and perform computer entry for long periods of time
- Skills to handle multiple priorities and manage communications professionally to achieve issue resolution with customers, employees, or management
- MTM program experience or completion of MTM/Pharmaceutical Care Training preferred
- Experience developing and implementing system tools preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred
- Experience with Medicare Star measures preferred
