About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in a 12-month Leadership Development Program in the health care payer space
- Support strategic projects across multiple business and functional areas
- Work on projects related to Value Based Care, Pharmacy, Network Strategy, Individual and Family Markets and enterprise priorities, depending on placement
- Develop strategic thinking, communication, leadership and project management capabilities
- Interact with and present projects to senior-level executives
- Participate in executive mentorship and networking across functional areas
- Develop innovative approaches to health care challenges
- Perform strategic planning, analysis, communication and leadership work
- Complete project work within a highly matrixed organization
- Participate in HCSC’s enterprise New Grad experience during the first year
- Complete formal orientation and enterprise development activities
- Connect with peers and company leaders across HCSC
- Perform meaningful role-specific work during the 12-month program
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing an MHA, MHSA, MPH, MS-HSM, MBA or similar master’s degree with an interest in health care management and strategic planning
- Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Must not require OPT or CPT; work visa sponsorship is not offered
- Project management skills, including organization, prioritization and problem-solving
- Experience interacting with personnel across departments and organizational levels
- Knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends
- Experience with analytics and information synthesis
- Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office products
- Preferred: health insurance or health care industry experience or a strong interest in the industry
