About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in HCSC’s formal internship program
- Support business objectives and member-focused solutions
- Work closely with cross-functional business and technical teams
- Contribute to project work, analyze information, and support solution development
- Learn and apply organizational processes, programs, and technologies
- Own project components and deliverables with mentor and manager guidance
- Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations for business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Support departmental initiatives that improve business outcomes and member and client experience
- Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a master’s degree or higher-level degree with a focus in business administration or healthcare; other related fields with comparable experience may be considered
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Available for the full duration of the 10-week program
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal effectiveness
- Strong interest in continuous learning and sharing knowledge
- Interest in the health care industry and regulated environments
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements is a strong plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across projects and complete tasks on time
- Practical, well-developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and Access
