Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve profit, growth, service, and expense objectives through financial analysis and pricing of HCSC RX business

  • Serve as an expert consultant on underwriting, performance guarantees, and other financial considerations
  • Provide underwriting services to determine pricing

  • Maintain and apply knowledge of health insurance industry pricing strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years underwriting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematical applications used in underwriting
  • Ability to calculate discounts, proportions, and percentages
  • Knowledge of basic business mathematics and algebra in underwriting problems
  • Knowledge of state and federal legislation related to group health underwriting
  • Experience with major pharmacy benefit managers (PBM) preferred
  • RX Broker preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills preferred
  • Sponsorship is not available
