About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the HealthSpring strategy for local topline sales agencies, directly contracted agents, and broker down-line sales within the managed market
- Drive profitable membership growth through broker, agency, provider, community partner, and Center of Influence relationships
- Recruit and cultivate new agency partnerships
- Conduct sales presentations
- Plan and execute community and sales events
- Train agents and brokers
- Monitor sales performance against goals
- Use Salesforce CRM, reporting tools, and data analysis to track activities, measure results, and identify growth opportunities
- Support lead management, business planning, brand promotion, and broker engagement efforts
- Ensure compliance with CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and organizational policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of health insurance sales experience OR Master's degree with 2 years of health insurance sales experience OR 8 years of health insurance sales experience
- Experience managing broker and/or field sales staff
- Experience meeting and/or exceeding sales goals
- Knowledge of the health insurance industry, producer community, and Consumer Markets products
- Marketing skills
- Consultative skills
- Training skills
- Interviewing and selection skills
- Verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills, relationship building, presentation facilitation, and interviewing
- Knowledge and skills with PC applications such as Microsoft Office and databases
- Active department of insurance license from the state of residence or reciprocity
- Sponsorship is not available
- Up to 75% local travel
- Monday–Friday schedule during typical business hours; evening meetings required based on partner and event schedules
