About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Review clinical documentation for medical necessity based on medical policy
  • Work with internal departments and external vendors to evaluate and resolve medical prior authorization-related issues
  • Resolve pharmacy-related issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Licensed/Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Managed care customer service experience
  • Drug information skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related health care field or four years work experience in a health care/insurance industry
  • Sponsorship is not available
  • Ability to work Thursday through Monday or Monday through Friday with weekend rotations, during 8-hour shifts between 7AM–6PM MST
  • Training availability Monday through Friday, 7AM–3PM MST
  • Retail Pharmacy experience preferred
  • Current Licensed/Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
