About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create reports, insights, and analytics in support of the division
- Create report and analysis specifications based on business needs
- Provide consultation to users and work on cross-functional teams to address divisional issues
- Produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools
- Research and assist in analyzing data related to strategic initiatives and broader research needs
- Interface between the business and divisional data teams to generate actionable tools for analysis and reporting
- Build relationships with customers
- Develop a deeper understanding of divisional data to meet business needs
- Analyze complex business problems using internal and external data to provide decision-making insights
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in data analysis and information reporting data, or 4 years of experience in data analysis and information reporting data
- Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures to solve routine or basic problems
- Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
- Solve complex problems with guidance
- Produce data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel, or other reporting tools
- Verify accuracy of reports and provide insights
- Knowledge of SQL, SAS and/or Teradata or other reporting tools/languages
- Work with both internal and external data
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, independently and as part of a team
- Learn needed skills by performing assigned work
- Preferred: managed care and Utilization Management (UM) experience
- Preferred: strong analytical and root cause analysis skills
- Preferred: experience delivering insights to executive and operational leaders
- Preferred: healthcare data analysis and data storytelling experience
- Preferred: proficiency with Databricks, Azure, Teradata, Tableau, and/or Power BI
- Preferred: ability to develop recommendations and influence key stakeholders
- Preferred: strong communication and presentation skills
