About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Account Executive on client retention, growth, and day-to-day account service
- Develop and execute client-specific, internal, and external service strategies
- Serve as primary client contact for issues, escalations, tracking, and reporting
- Develop multi-year member communication, engagement, open enrollment, and wellness strategies
- Build relationships with key client contacts, consultants, and brokers
- Lead implementation activities and coordinate internal delivery partners
- Maintain Sales & Account Management databases and facilitate client and internal reports
- Prepare account and opportunity plans, product solutions, cross-selling opportunities, annual reviews, and finalist presentations
- Act as liaison between HCSC and clients and resolve tactical issues and inquiries
- Coordinate RFI/RFP responses, internal meetings, status meetings, eligibility meetings, and implementation activities
- Track client documents, account setup, ID card sign-off, benefit booklets, billing requirements, claim and eligibility issues, report requests, and open issue logs
- Coordinate BAE access and training for employers
- Educate employees and members on BCBS products and services
- Maintain industry, healthcare reform, competitive landscape, and client-needs awareness
- Assist with staff training, mentoring, and special projects
- Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program, and other applicable policies
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate with management regarding assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree and 3 years in Healthcare operations handling independent work OR 7 years of experience in Healthcare operations handling independent work
- Possess current state general agent insurance license or obtain general agent insurance license within 90 days of starting in the role
- Organization/project implementation skills
- Verbal and written communications skills to work with customer representatives, customers, brokers and across internal departments
- Knowledge of health insurance products and the industry
- PC proficiency to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical skills
- Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight stays as needed
- Preferred: Experience servicing accounts and working with brokers
- Preferred: Knowledge of salesforce.com or applicable sales database
