About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, healthcare providers, faith-based organizations, and other stakeholders
- Represent Healthix at community meetings, health fairs, and public events
- Identify opportunities for Healthix to engage with community partners and participate in community initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between Healthix and community stakeholders
- Research and identify relevant community events, forums, and networking opportunities
- Coordinate Healthix participation in community and industry events
- Assist with planning and execution of Healthix-sponsored events and educational programs
- Support recruitment of community partners and stakeholders for Healthix initiatives and collaborative projects
- Conduct research on community health trends, organizations, and emerging issues impacting communities
- Gather and organize information about community needs, resources, partnerships, and outreach opportunities
- Track engagement activities and prepare reports summarizing findings and community feedback
- Collect and maintain data related to community events, stakeholder participation, and outreach outcomes
- Maintain and regularly update stakeholder and community partner databases
- Manage contact lists and outreach records
- Track community interactions, event attendance, and partnership activities
- Prepare correspondence, event materials, and outreach communications
- Assist in soliciting sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions
- Help identify potential community and corporate partners interested in supporting Healthix initiatives
- Support donor and sponsor relationship management activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, constituent services, public affairs, community outreach, healthcare, government relations, or nonprofit organizations
- Experience organizing or supporting community events and stakeholder engagement activities
- Experience maintaining databases and tracking community outreach activities
- Experience conducting research and compiling information for reports and presentations
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing needs
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to conduct research and collect data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using CRM or contact management systems is a plus
- Relevant work or volunteer experience is strongly preferred and may be substituted for formal education
- Must be able to travel regularly throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island
- Must be able to attend community meetings and events, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation or ability to travel independently within the service area preferred
