About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary Finance subject-matter expert and functional owner for Zuora
  • Own and support billing, revenue-related processes, month-end activities, system configuration, integrations, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement
  • Lead Finance workstreams for system implementations, enhancements, and integrations involving Zuora and related platforms
  • Partner with IT, vendors, consultants, and business stakeholders through design, configuration, testing, implementation, and stabilization
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and strengthen Finance processes
  • Reduce manual workarounds, spreadsheets, reconciliation requirements, and dependence on institutional knowledge
  • Support month-end close, billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting with Accounting
  • Lead or coordinate Finance requirements, UAT, regression testing, validation, deployment readiness, and post-implementation support
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership on controls, audit requirements, access governance, data integrity, and documentation
  • Bridge Finance, Accounting, IT, Commercial/Sales Operations, and external technology partners
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, drive decisions, track dependencies, escalate risks, and help projects reach completion
  • Build and maintain process maps, system documentation, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
  • Establish sustainable internal knowledge and reduce reliance on external consultants or individual employees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep end-to-end understanding of Zuora supporting billing, revenue processes, accounting, reporting, and month-end close
  • Experience translating Finance and Accounting requirements into functional requirements
  • Experience with system implementations, enhancements, and integrations
  • Experience with system configuration, testing, UAT, regression testing, validation, deployment readiness, and post-implementation support
  • Knowledge of financial controls, audit requirements, access governance, data integrity, and documentation standards
  • Ability to facilitate requirements gathering, drive decisions, track dependencies, and escalate risks
  • Ability to develop process maps, system documentation, procedures, configuration knowledge, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, IT, Sales Operations, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Must have the right to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship
