About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Editorial Director's calendar, scheduling, travel arrangements, expenses, and meeting coordination
  • Partner with editorial and executive assistants across the organization
  • Maintain and organize the Delish and House Beautiful editorial inboxes
  • Route pitches, respond to inquiries, and support editorial workflows
  • Process contracts and invoices
  • Create production documents, file copyrights, organize pitches, confirm shoots, conduct archive research, audit recipe content, build presentations, and compile team data
  • Assist with outreach and coordination for influencer campaigns, events, panels, and cross-functional brand initiatives
  • Pitch, research, and write digital stories and social video content
  • Contribute recipes and other editorial projects
  • Complete the Table of Contents and distribute issues and PDFs to contributors
  • Assist with print editorial needs
  • Organize and maintain the Delish and House Beautiful archives
  • Source products, run occasional errands, order supplies, and support day-to-day team priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of professional or academic experience in journalism, editorial, project management, or equivalent experience
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Interest in digital publishing and storytelling
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities
  • Experience using Google Workspace, including Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management platforms is a plus
  • Passion for food, design, lifestyle, and digital media
  • Understanding of current trends and creators
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to support editorial and operational functions
  • Portfolio, writing samples, or other examples of editorial work are encouraged
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with four days per week in the New York office
