About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help execute House Beautiful's cross-platform social media strategy to grow audience, engagement, and brand awareness
  • Develop and maintain the social content calendar while supporting promotional plans tied to editorial initiatives, features, and launches
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging social platforms while maintaining brand voice and editorial standards
  • Monitor social media performance and audience engagement, sharing insights and recommendations with the editorial team
  • Collaborate with editorial, art, commerce, and photo teams to develop compelling social-first storytelling and creative campaigns
  • Stay informed on emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices
  • Support day-to-day social publishing workflows, ensuring deadlines are met and content is optimized for each platform

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of experience managing or creating social media content for a publisher, media company, brand, or similar environment
  • Strong editorial judgment with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Passion for home, design, decorating, and lifestyle content
  • Knowledge of major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging channels
  • Experience using social analytics and publishing tools such as TrueAnthem, Parse.ly, Dash Hudson, or similar platforms
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker with a curiosity for social trends and audience engagement strategies
