About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead accreditation, governance, and continuous improvement functions across the organisation
- Set and uphold standards for compliance, safety, and continuous improvement
- Shape a culture of quality and accountability across head office and support teams
- Oversee accreditation programs, internal audits, and quality management systems
- Drive compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Safeguards Commission requirements, OHS legislation, and organisational policies
- Lead risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and safeguarding frameworks
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and Commission submissions
- Coordinate reportable incidents, restrictive practices, and behaviour support compliance
- Build a culture of quality, safety, clinical excellence, and workforce capability
- Work primarily from the Glen Iris office with occasional travel to other Hearth offices and participant locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in a Senior Quality, Governance or Compliance role
- Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Nursing or related field
- Experience in NDIS, Aged Care or Community Services
- Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards
- Strong knowledge of High Intensity Support Skill Descriptors
- Experience implementing behaviour support plans and restrictive practices
- Knowledge of Child Safe Standards
- Knowledge of human rights-based frameworks
- Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused
- Collaborative and confident in working with multidisciplinary teams
- Clinical governance and quality system leadership
- Risk management, incident oversight and OHS leadership
- Strong planning, documentation and stakeholder management
- Ability to influence, train, and uplift standards across teams
- Relevant degree in health, disability or related disciplines
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
- Australian working rights

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team
