About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Use technical expertise and attention to detail to complete assignments
  • Work closely with the RAM Team Engineer on projects, prototypes, and fabrication and installation of equipment and infrastructure for production facilities
  • Create drawings and designs using CAD
  • Assist the RAM Engineer and Project Managers with leading projects
  • Run manual and CNC machines, including mills, plasma cutters, laser engravers, lathes, and lifts
  • Set up machines and inspect components while maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship
  • Lead fabrication projects supporting equipment repairs and new projects
  • Help lead installation of industrial equipment
  • Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for work preparation
  • Assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of equipment throughout the plant
  • Maintain professional standards of quality and craftsmanship
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area and ensure machine tools are properly maintained and in good working condition
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ year experience inside manufacturing facility
  • Experience with drawing and design programs such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion, or Inventor
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and engineering mindset
  • Ability to read and decipher schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, general assembly drawings, and P&ID drawings
  • Ability to use mechanical and digital measuring instruments with extreme precision and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of physics, mechanics, geometry, and basic mathematics
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment including pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Must be able to work at high elevation and not be afraid of heights
  • Must be able to work in challenging environments including cold, hot, dusty, windy, and confined spaces
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally
  • Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • High sense of urgency and customer support
  • Good job performance and attendance records
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid US passport
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to physically perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Must be able to work extended hours, daily overtime, and occasional weekends
  • Visual acuity to document company records
  • Continuous walking throughout the plant and distribution center
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
