About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain equipment proactively in a manufacturing environment
- Perform scheduled preventative and condition-based maintenance to OEM standards
- Review and improve preventive maintenance systems to reduce performance losses and increase equipment reliability
- Analyze line performance data and provide line improvement support
- Understand the theory of operation for equipment within the area of responsibility
- Provide input to Centerline standards based on expertise and observations
- Document work order information in the Computerized Maintenance Management System according to best practices
- Participate in root cause analyses
- Participate in plant initiatives and improvement teams
- Support technical training for operators and training enabling basic maintenance tasks
- Recommend spare-part stocking levels
- Serve as a role model for a positive culture and established company values
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have two-year technical degree in an Industrial Maintenance field
- 2-3 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong focus on preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and troubleshooting
- Strong mechanical skills and basic electrical skills
- Basic PLC (Allen Bradley) preferred
- Familiarity with CMMS and production workflow/controls systems
- Experience with packaging, conveyance, liquid, and powder manufacturing equipment and processes
- Ability to work independently, reliably, and with motivation and dedication
- Good communication skills with operators, mechanics, and other resources
- Ability to work in a team environment with honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability
- Detail-oriented and able to accurately record information
- Able to work off-shifts, weekends, and extended shifts
- Ability to use computers for navigating systems, recording information, and finding job-related information
- Must understand oral and written instructions in English
- Must have good job performance and attendance records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively
- Must be able to physically perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods
- Must be able to work extended hours, daily overtime, and occasional weekends
- Must possess visual acuity to document company records
- Must be able to walk continuously throughout the plant and distribution center
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred
