About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain equipment proactively and perform scheduled preventive maintenance to OEM standards
  • Review and improve preventive-maintenance systems to reduce performance losses and increase equipment reliability
  • Analyze line performance data and provide line-improvement support
  • Understand the theory of operation for equipment within the area of responsibility
  • Provide input to Centerline standards based on expertise and observations
  • Document work-order information in the Computerized Maintenance Management System according to best practices
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Participate in plant initiatives and improvement teams
  • Support technical training for operators and training enabling basic maintenance tasks
  • Recommend spare-part stocking levels
  • Serve as a role model for positive culture and established values
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two-year technical degree in an Industrial Maintenance field
  • 2–3 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong focus on preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and troubleshooting
  • Strong mechanical skills and basic electrical skills
  • Basic PLC (Allen Bradley) preferred
  • Familiarity with CMMS and production workflow/controls systems
  • Experience with packaging, conveyance, liquid, and powder manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, and extended shifts
  • Ability to work with computers for navigating systems, recording information, and finding information to perform the job
  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
  • Good job performance and attendance records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods
  • Ability to work extended hours, daily overtime, and occasional weekends
  • Visual acuity to document company records
  • Ability to walk continuously throughout the plant and distribution center
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
