About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate machinery on the Sweeteners product line, including Clouds or Ropaks
Maintain product-line documentation accurately and with high quality
Promote safety and follow all safety guidelines
Inspect products for defects and measure products to verify machine-operation accuracy
Observe machine operations, detect defects or malfunctions, and adjust machines within tolerances
Read job orders to determine product specifications and plan operational sequences
Position, load, and secure production materials manually or with power-assisted equipment
Make minor electrical and mechanical machine repairs and adjustments
Notify supervisors or maintenance when major service is required
Start up and shut down manufacturing equipment according to SOPs
Complete permanent company and customer records accurately
Follow food safety and food security guidelines, including SQF good manufacturing practices and HACCP
Comply with food manufacturing and safety regulations
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Good job performance and attendance records
Prior team lead experience preferred
Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
Ability to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods
Ability to work extended hours, daily overtime, and occasional weekends
Visual acuity to document company records
Continuous walking throughout the plant and distribution center
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
