About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate machinery on the Sweeteners product line, including Clouds or Ropaks
  • Maintain documentation with a high degree of accuracy and quality
  • Promote safety and follow all safety guidelines
  • Inspect products for defects and measure products to determine machine-operation accuracy
  • Observe machine operation, detect defects or malfunctions, and adjust machines within tolerances
  • Read job orders to determine product specifications and plan operational sequences
  • Position, load, and secure production stock manually or with power-assisted equipment
  • Make minor electrical and mechanical repairs and machine adjustments; notify supervisors or maintenance when major service is required
  • Start up and shut down manufacturing equipment according to SOPs
  • Complete permanent company and customer records neatly and accurately
  • Follow food safety and food security guidelines, including SQF good manufacturing practices and HACCP
  • Comply with food manufacturing and safety regulations
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and other employees
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good job performance and attendance records
  • Prior team lead experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods
  • Ability to work extended hours, daily overtime, and occasional weekends
  • Visual acuity to document company records
  • Continuous walking throughout the plant and distribution center
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
