About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide follow-up support, consumer satisfaction outreach, service linkage, and advocacy assistance
- Conduct outbound follow-up calls with individuals referred through assigned agency programs and services
- Assess caller and client needs and connect individuals to appropriate providers
- Complete continued follow-up according to established guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation of follow-up activity, service outcomes, and client data
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Provide training and guidance on follow-up processes and procedures
- Follow Follow-Up Quality Improvement protocols and support improvement efforts
- Provide additional quality improvement coverage when scheduling or departmental needs require
- Stay informed about research, best practices, and program updates related to suicide prevention, crisis response, information and referral, Tribal services, and other agency programs
- Participate in suicide-prevention committees within and outside HeartLine
- Assist with suicide-prevention presentations as requested
- Advocate at community, state, and national levels to help reduce suicide rates
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some college experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred
- Nonprofit experience preferred
- Background in mental health or crisis intervention preferred
- Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal educational requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service
- Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and team members while working independently
- Strong computer literacy and ability to use multiple digital systems
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to individuals with diverse and complex needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Willingness to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to handle and manage stress related to the scope and type of chats received
- Physical ability to lift 20 pounds, sit for long periods, talk on the telephone, and bend/stoop
- Must reside in Oklahoma
