About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and manage training programs for staff supporting Crisis Services programs
  • Design, develop, and update training materials, including manuals, guides, and presentations
  • Deliver initial onboarding training for new hires providing chat and text crisis intervention services
  • Conduct ongoing training on emerging trends, best practices, and crisis-response updates
  • Coordinate and lead role-playing exercises, simulations, and staff skills assessments
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance during and after training
  • Gather and analyze trainee feedback to improve the training curriculum
  • Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to identify staff-development needs
  • Ensure training programs comply with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and contract requirements
  • Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, certification, and completion rates
  • Provide regular reports on training outcomes and staff readiness to program leadership
  • Identify training needs and tailor programs with supervisors and leadership
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate additional training resources
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on service platforms and provide guidance to staff and leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Some college in psychology, social work, education, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in crisis intervention, training, or a related field
  • Familiarity with 988 services or other crisis chat/text platforms strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly
  • Proficiency in developing and delivering training materials in various formats, including in-person and virtual
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to changing program needs
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Proficiency in chat and text platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other training platforms is a plus
  • Physically able to lift 20 pounds, sit for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, and bend/stoop
  • Must reside in Oklahoma
  • Some evenings/weekend work required
