Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia veterinary care
  • Serve pet families across the Metropolitan Salt Lake City and Herriman, Utah area
  • Conduct compassionate end-of-life care in pets' homes
  • Have meaningful conversations with families regarding anticipatory grief and end-of-life decisions
  • Work independently in the field without a clinic or waiting room
  • Manage a self-directed schedule with rotational weekend coverage
  • Travel between appointments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • DVM, VMD, BVMS, or equivalent degree from an accredited or otherwise qualifying program
  • Active Pennsylvania veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
  • Comfort working independently in the field
  • Empathetic, clear communication during end-of-life conversations
  • Availability for rotational weekend scheduling
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and assist with up to 100 lbs, with reasonable accommodation
  • Successful background and motor vehicle record check after hire
