About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care in pets' homes
  • Practice independently on the road across Aventura, North Miami Beach, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Florida and surrounding areas
  • Conduct a few appointments per day at an unrushed pace
  • Sit with families, answer difficult questions, and help them say goodbye with dignity and peace
  • Collaborate with and receive support from the Heartstrings team
  • Participate in onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and ongoing training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Choose the 4 weekend days per month that fit your life
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Unassisted and up to 90 lbs with Assistance
  • License verification, a background check, and a driving record review before start date
