About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the primary business and application owner for assigned platforms and reporting solutions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify process improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting opportunities
  • Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements and translate them into development work
  • Create functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and development documentation
  • Research and analyze new features, enhancements, and product opportunities
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation sessions, and release planning
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and expected user experience
  • Manage and prioritize Jira backlogs
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates
  • Develop test scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing activities
  • Validate releases before deployment and ensure solutions meet business expectations
  • Investigate and resolve defects with QA teams
  • Liaise between business users, technology teams, and operational stakeholders
  • Provide Level 1 support and triage for escalated production issues
  • Communicate project updates, release information, and product enhancements
  • Facilitate workshops, demos, and presentations
  • Create and maintain process documentation, user guides, training materials, and knowledge articles
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer activities
  • Keep documentation aligned with system functionality and business processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or related experience within hedge funds, fund administration, asset management, or financial services
  • Experience working with business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Knowledgeable SQL skills with the ability to analyze and validate data
  • Experience managing work items and reporting through Jira
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: Experience supporting investment management, fund accounting, operations, or middle-office workflows
  • Preferred: Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting architecture
  • Preferred: Experience working with APIs and data integrations
  • Preferred: Experience participating in enterprise application implementations and digital transformation initiatives
