About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with product management, operations, quality, and software engineers to deliver the right solution
- Configure and develop against remote infrastructure in AWS
- Design and engineer DevOps CI/CD tooling and platform roadmaps, and own the lifecycle of these platforms
- Integrate DevOps with infrastructure and automation orchestration platforms through established architectural patterns such as APIs
- Support the development team with application configuration of cloud-based infrastructure for deployment, monitoring, and automation
- Ensure services are hardened and security best practices are followed during automated CI/CD processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 3–5 years professional experience in DevOps
- Experience with containerisation and microservice build and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Python and Bash
- Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot code in Elixir, PHP, JavaScript, or similar languages alongside developers
- Experience building reusable Terraform code and modules
- Experience with AWS and Azure
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki, including instrumenting services, building dashboards, and defining alerting rules for logs and metrics
- Experience optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Experience working with Agile teams
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible/Chef/Puppet or similar tools
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL and key-value stores such as Redis
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience incorporating best security practices into the SDLC process
