About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop BIM Technicians, Specialists, and Leads through mentoring, training, delegation, and performance alignment
Deliver training on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices
Partner with the BIM Technical Director to execute the firm’s BIM strategic vision
Serve as a subject matter expert in Henderson’s BIM workflows
Provide feedback to Sector leadership on technical strategies
Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and workflows aligned with industry best practices and ISO 19650
Provide advanced technical support for BIM project setup, execution, QA/QC, and coordination of deliverables
Collaborate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads on BIM Execution Plans
Promote consistent use of support queues and BIM toolkits
Develop and maintain Revit families, content libraries, and automation tools
Oversee quality control reviews and BIM milestone compliance
Coordinate with IT and BIM/VDC teams on BIM software, cloud services, and network systems
Track and report BIM performance metrics, including FTE utilization, KPIs, and process efficiency gains
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree in engineering, construction management, science, or BIM / drafting technology preferred
High school diploma or GED required
10 or more years of relevant experience required
A minimum of 2 years leadership/management experience preferred
Subject matter expertise in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks required
Advanced experience with BIM-related tools (Dynamo, Python, PyRevit, Clarity, and Content Catalog) preferred
Demonstrated success implementing BIM standards and workflows
Comprehensive knowledge in a discipline of expertise and a track record of technical excellence
History of contributing to technically sound teams and ability to motivate and coach others
Comprehensive knowledge of industry technical needs and proven quality monitoring, maintenance, and improvement
Demonstrated ability to mobilize company technical strategies through project execution
Proficiency in all core competencies described in the job description
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
