About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take responsibility for procurement activities for an operating business unit
  • Ensure efficient, needs-based purchasing
  • Manage the Professional Services category at the Hanau site
  • Develop procurement strategies to optimize costs and minimize risks
  • Negotiate optimal contract terms with suppliers
  • Prepare and analyze procurement KPIs and reports
  • Track global savings and provide transparent reporting on achieved savings
  • Manage the Heraeus tool used to implement the requirements of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)
  • Support internal stakeholders in using the LkSG tool
  • Manage the procurement SharePoint site and ensure the structured provision of relevant information and documentation
  • Initiate and lead cross-functional and, in some cases, global procurement projects
  • Continuously develop the procurement organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed commercial training, a degree in business administration, or a comparable qualification
  • At least five years of professional experience in strategic or operational procurement, ideally in Professional Services
  • Sound knowledge of procurement controlling
  • Experience preparing and analyzing KPIs and savings reports
  • Strong affinity for digital tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to sustainability and supply chain management, particularly the LkSG
  • Structured, independent, and analytical approach to work
  • Resilient and solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
