About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Creating and maintaining electrical engineering documentation, such as circuit diagrams, terminal plans, and bills of materials
  • Planning, managing, and optimizing special-purpose systems for glass manufacturing and glass processing, including the associated infrastructure
  • Creating specifications and operating manuals, and contributing to their preparation
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety requirements, and the provisions of the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230
  • Integrating cybersecurity and data protection requirements into electrical engineering planning
  • Coordinating technical consultations with Engineering, IT, and automation engineering teams
  • Supporting validation processes
  • Supporting projects from planning through acceptance, including procurement support, production support, commissioning, and technical documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed vocational training or degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Very good knowledge of EPLAN P8, including macro management, variant management, and data maintenance
  • Experience with the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 and requirements relating to cybersecurity and technical documentation
  • Understanding of modern automation concepts such as modularization, standardization, and end-to-end data models
  • Knowledge of SISTEMA validation of safety functions
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards (DIN EN ISO 12100, DIN EN ISO 13849, DIN EN 60204-1, PL, and SIL)
  • Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering
  • Independent and responsible approach to work
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, system availability, and traceability, including GDPR-related requirements
