About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently analyze and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Perform preventive maintenance and servicing work
- Maintain and support technical systems and infrastructure for heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and building services engineering
- Support safe and efficient system operation
- Conduct regular inspections in accordance with the German Ordinance on Evaporative Cooling Systems, Cooling Towers and Wet Separators (42nd BImSchV), as well as other legal and company requirements
- Support monitoring, inspection, testing, and documentation obligations
- Accompany external contractors and service providers and monitor the proper execution of their work
- Document faults, maintenance activities, inspections, and technical measures in a clear and traceable manner
- Contribute to technical improvement projects
- Collaborate with Engineering, Asset & Site Management, Production, and other departments to optimize systems and processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed advanced vocational training as a state-certified technician or master craftsperson, preferably in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a comparable relevant field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, technical building services, building technology, and industrial utilities
- Strong technical understanding and practical hands-on skills
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Team player with a strong sense of responsibility
- Willingness to learn about site-specific systems and regulations
- Ideally, knowledge of PLC systems, particularly Siemens S7 and HIMA
- Experience working with external contractors and service providers
- Ability to work at heights
- Willingness to work in different areas of the facility
- Very good German language skills
- Good English language skills are an advantage
