About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide general support to process and tooling improvements on new and existing products using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Assist in new equipment identification, procurement, installation qualification, document creation, and training
  • Support cross-functional groups in scaling processes such as coil winding, laser welding, ablation, stamping, machining, and advanced assemblies
  • Support operations and quality teams with product quality nonconformances, investigations, root cause analysis, data analysis and trending, and customer correlation activities
  • Participate in operations and manufacturing team meetings and activities
  • Respond to changing priorities in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable Engineering program
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Ability to work full-time onsite during the duration of the co-op
  • Strong analytical skills, specifically utilizing Excel
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Driven to learn more about real-world application of academic engineering concepts
