About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support production in all competencies set forth by the supervisor
  • Work with Engineering on process improvement
  • Work with manufacturing engineering and/or tool room to help maintain production tooling
  • Ensure setup data is adhered to during standard production phases
  • Complete production-related paperwork, including batch assignment, SAP, and headers
  • Keep manufacturing tool cribs clean and accurate
  • Serve as first point of contact for technical support, troubleshooting, problem solving, and repair activities for production equipment
  • Act as technical leader in areas of expertise and assist others across departments
  • Cross-train in all departments supported by the team
  • Assist with training operators on new and revised processes
  • Assist with equipment or tool assembly
  • Provide feedback for quality and process improvements
  • Follow the position training program and keep training requirements current using training tracking software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma required
  • 2-year degree or related vocational education a plus
  • 1+ years Heraeus Medical experience or 3+ years equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and principles, design intent, customer end use, and impact of critical dimensions on product performance
  • Knowledge of basic inspection tools
  • Machining skills (lathe, mill, surface grinder and general shop tools)
  • Knowledge of SPC
  • Intermediate computer aptitude
  • Proficient in reading and writing English
  • Technical writing documentation ability required
  • Must work 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30-11:00 PM
  • E-Verify employment eligibility confirmation after hire
