About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead complex technology projects to optimize and further develop products and production processes for the manufacture of synthetic quartz glass
  • Ensure process and product quality by analyzing quality-related data, identifying improvement opportunities, and independently implementing improvements
  • Conduct root-cause analyses of process deviations
  • Develop and implement sustainable solutions
  • Introduce new manufacturing processes and transfer technological developments into series production
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Support the delivery of training for production employees
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Research, and Quality Management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed degree, with at least a bachelor's degree, in process engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry, or a comparable technical or scientific field
  • At least one year of professional experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of processes and enthusiasm for analyzing and optimizing technical operations and equipment in a production environment
  • Experience with spectroscopy or similar measurement techniques is desirable
  • Experience in Lean Management, working with KPIs, Six Sigma, or comparable improvement methodologies is an advantage
  • Structured, independent approach to work, along with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good command of German and English
