About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop technical solutions for Production IT and help shape production processes
- Coordinate new projects across business functions, Production IT, and external service providers
- Clarify requirements and support the selection of suitable vendors
- Define technical standards for database technologies, deployment patterns, and service interfaces
- Support technical reviews in close coordination with Heraeus Corporate IT
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept, including with AI-powered tools and models
- Apply AI-powered solutions to optimize processes, detect anomalies, and assist with coding
- Represent the Competence Center Lead in day-to-day technical matters
- Contribute expertise to the alignment and continuous improvement of Production IT solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a .NET developer, ideally with exposure to production or manufacturing processes
- Strong Git skills, including branching strategies and code reviews
- Initial experience with microservice architectures and database technologies (MSSQL/Azure SQL)
- Strong communication and coordination skills across technical teams, business functions, and external partners
- Pragmatic understanding of standards and governance
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools
- Interest in AI/ML integrations
- Business-fluent German and English
